When you lead a busy and stressful life it can be hard to find the willpower (and let’s face it the time) to devote to losing weight and keeping it off. So much so that often it’s easier to just bury your head in the sand and do nothing.

As I have trained in food and nutrition, I am in a unique position to be able to truly help people with issues related to food habits and diet. At your Initial consultation I will explain how the brain works when it comes to eating habits.  In short, stress can tell our primitive (or subconscious) brain that we need high energy foods to optimise our energy levels to fight or run. Whether it was a bad day at the office or a lack of motivation, reaching for that packet of sweets may feel like it helps in the short term, but doing this regularly can have a huge impact on your health and wellbeing. And it very quickly becomes a habit!

Solution Focused Hypnotherapy focuses on positive thoughts. By using visualisation and other hypnotherapy for weight management techniques, I can help you to find positive alternatives. And by using relaxation techniques I can help you to take positive steps towards making healthier food choices, developing good eating habits, maintaining a healthy weight and actually enjoying good food again.

This doesn’t mean you can never have the chocolate bar. It just means it should be a conscious, positive decision to have it once in a while and to enjoy it without feeling guilt. You will no longer need the chocolate bar to make you feel happy.
